This is Seal Woman Healing Arts-and I am Gabrielle Sisson-your resident wise woman, herbalist, energy worker, and LMT. I created this space to be a reflection of what is possible when we reclaim the lost parts of ourselves by coming home to our oceanic (emotional) selves:
we feel it to heal it.
Like the mythological stories of Selkies, or Seal Women, we may sometimes lose touch with our sense of inner guidance-with what nourishes us. We may have our Sealskins (Soulskins) stolen from us, or we may abandon them somewhere along the way for safety or validation.
The work represented in this space is for the reclamation of your soulful nature.
It is intended to help you feel at home again within your own skin.
What I know to be true is…
That the entry point of your re-awakening & the source of your authentic power lies in the deepest wounds that you carry.
You need to have a fire in your belly to do this work.
You have to want it.
But the way home is always illuminated for those of us who come earnestly seeking our healing and wholeness.

My name is Gabrielle and I am a green witch, body worker, energetic healer and herbalist. My work centers on the lived understanding that acceptance of yourself and your past is necessary for you to act from a place of holy wholeness.
We accomplish this together by reconnecting you to your people, your ancestral roots-the ways that they lived, ate, worshipped, and loved. This combines beautifully with deep nourishment from the land where you currently reside.
This work is a call to harmony- with your body, with your past, with the land around you, and with the earth itself. In this way we forge a path together for your deepest liberation, healing, and growth.
I am here to empower you to break generational curses with fierce love and devoted tenderness, to facilitate your creation of a foundation of harmony and trust with your own inner wisdom.

Using pulse diagnosis from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda we are able to ascertain the elemental constitution that makes up your physical body-and find out how to best support your body to come into harmony with its natural state of wellbeing.
I operate from a value system that honors deep nourishment rather than restriction. Together we will find out why your body is craving what it is-and do our best to honor its needs with Whole Foods alternatives that are rooted in your direct lineage and thus are likely more bioavailable to your body.
We will also work with releasing beliefs around body image shame-working to make our bodies a home in which we feel comfortable, confidant, safe, and proud.
Herbal and nutritional medicine is foundational for healing-how we nourish ourselves to a great degree determines our ability to digest not just food-but also our emotions. It can improve mental health.

I am trained in various energetic modalities-where the quantity and quality of your life force energy (chi, or prana) is able to be measured and any blockages in the flow of vital energy can be found and released while also shoring up your reserves and re-establishing vital connections for future health and growth.
The ancients believed that life force energy was the driving factor behind our vitality and that all disease could be linked to energetic kinks in our meridians that are blocking the natural flow of cosmic energy within and around us.
Panic energy healing, reiki, acupressure, and to some extent CranioSacral work can all be used to even out this flow-creating nervous system regulation, ease, grace, and gentle relaxation that can, sometimes immediately, and sometimes over time, lead to healing of the subtle body which in turn feeds and sustains our mental and emotional health as well as our physical bodies.

Working with the physical body to unwind and restore the flexibility and tonicity of your soft tissues can be incredibly therapeutic.
My special areas of interest include:
Abdominal work and visceral manipulation in which digestive issues are addressed through gentle touch following the flow of the digestive tract.
Womb realignment in which the uterus is gently moved back into a central location in the body freeing up blood flow and often easing female reproductive symptoms.
Lymphatic Breast Massage in which the global breast tissue is palpated for areas of density and the lymphatic tissue is moved towards lymph nodes and ducts allowing areas of density to oftentimes reduce over time. I believe this to be a necessary aspect of self care for every woman-and teach it so that you can carry it forward into your self care practices. This is a deeply therapeutic practice that can be used as a prevention tool for breast cancer.

Every so often I offer sessions where I read your astrology and numerology for the purpose of reconnecting you to your life’s purpose and mission. This work is intended to light a fire under your bum-to reignite passion when you feel lost or unsure about what it is you came here for.
Astrology-the exact placement of the stars and planets on the first moment we ever drew breath in this life-can be a powerful tool for illuminating the greater arc and orbit of our soul’s journey.
It’s twin partner-the Tarot- can help further elucidate the themes of our particular quest in this life.
Sometimes, when called, I also integrate other oracular tools: like the I-ching, or the Enneagram.
